Valais is well known as Swizerland`s sun trap. In Visp you can experience well over 300 days of sunshine a year. Beneath the highest vineyard in Europe, at Upper Valais valley level, Visp is a central base for your stay at the heart of an unforgettable nature and cultural landscape. You can also experience Visp as a centre of shopping and adventure. As well as the Pürumärt ("farmers`market"), witch thakes place every Friday night,  and the spring exhibitions at the Visp ice hall, discover attractive, car-free Bahnhofstrasse with its wide array of shops and serveral inveting bar and restaurant terraces, as well as regular exhibitions and events at Kultur- und Kongresszentrum La Poste ("La Poste culture and congress centre"). I would also recommend a tour through our pretty old town, with its many historical buildings.
